RouteBot now has two reference sites: docs.routebot.com for admin-panel workflows and help.routebot.com for the mobile app. Here is what they cover and the three starting points most new teams ask for.

Every onboarding we run produces the same three questions in the first week: "How do I import my roster?", "Where do parents set notification distance?", and "What happens if I need to swap a vehicle mid-route?" We used to answer them on calls. Now we answer them in two sites that anyone on the team can bookmark:

    • docs.routebot.com — admin panel: routes, optimization, fleet, accounting, data validation.
    • help.routebot.com — mobile app: parents, drivers, personnel, QR scanning, background tracking.

If you want to see the product before reading docs, the live demo is faster. For context on how routing, tracking, and notifications hang together, start with the school bus routing software guide.

Below is a direct-link index to every page on both sites — bookmark what you need.

Three starting points teams ask for most

First import: Getting Started walks through roster upload, address validation, and the pre-flight data check — the step that catches wrong geocodes before they become wrong routes.

Driver app setup: InstallationFirst Time SetupBackground Tracking. That last one matters: if the driver's phone kills location in the background, the parent map goes stale. We wrote a blog-length version of why freshness matters in live bus tracking buyer's guide.

Parent notification distance: Notification Distance is the setting families adjust most. Our notification system playbook covers the design thinking behind approaching thresholds.

Both sites grow with the product. If something is missing, let us know — the fastest path is in-app support or contact@routebot.com.
